昔むかしずっと田舎の静かな所に小さいおうちがありました。

Once upon a time, there was a pretty little house way out in the country.

小さなおうちは丘の上から回りの景色を眺めながら幸せに暮らしてきました。

The Little House was very happy as she sat on the hill and watched the countryside around her.

小さいおうちは野原の草が緑に変わるのをみました。

She watched the grass turn green.

小さいおうちは夜に田舎のことや、ひなぎくの野原や、月明かりの下でりんごの木が踊っているのを夢に見るのでした。

At night, she used to dream of the country and the field of daisies and the apple trees dancing in the moonlight.

小さいおうちはみすぼらしく見えるようになってしまいました・・・まだまだもとの通りしっかりとしているのに。
